TETNEY, a parish in the wapentake of BRADLEYHAVERSTOE, parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, lO miles (N.) from Louth, containing 623 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £7. 18. 4., endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
