THEDDLETHORPE (ST-HELEN'S), a parish in
the Marsh division of the hundred of CALCEWORTH,
parts of LINDSEY, county of LINCOLN, 9 miles (N.
by E.) from Alford, containing 239 inhabitants. The
living is a rectory, with that of Mablethorpe St. Peter
united, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated
in the king's books at & 18. 10. 2., and in the patron--
age of Lord Gwydyr. There is a place of worship for
Wesleyan Methodists.
