THENFORD, a parish in the hundred of KING'S-SUTTON,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 5 miles (N. W. by
W.) from Brackley, containing 234 inhabitants. The
living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of
Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the
king's books at £10, and in the patronage of the
Crown. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. A
court baron is occasionally held here. There is a mineral
spring in the parish.
