THRANDESTON, a parish in the hundred of
HARTISMERE, county of SUFFOLK, 3 miles (N. W.) from
Eye, containing 330 inhabitants. The living is a rectory,
in the archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich,
rated in the king's books at £ 13. 6. 8., and in
the patronage of Earl Cornwallis. The church is
dedicated to St. Margaret.
