THRUMPTON, a parish in the northern division of
the wapentake of RUSHCUFFE, county of NOTTINGHAM,
4 miles (N.N.E.) from Kegworth, containing 109 inhabitants.
The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry
of Nottingham, and diocese of York. 3. Emmerton,
Esq. was patron in 1811. The church is dedicated
to All Saints. On the banks of the Trent is a
fine old mansion in the style of architecture prevalent
in the reign of Elizabeth.
