THURLBY, a parish in the lower division of the wapentake of BOOTHBY-GRAFFO, parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 9 miles (S. W.) from Lincoln, containing 102 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean and Chapter of Lincoln, and in the patronage of the Prebendary of Garlton cum Thurlby in the Cathedral Church of Lincoln. The church, dedicated to St. German, is principally in the later style of English architecture. The parish lies between the rivers Trent and Witham, the latter of which is celebrated for its eels and pike.
