TIMBERLAND, a parish in the first division of the wapentake of LANGOE, parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN, 10 miles (N. N. E.) from Sleaford, containing, with the township of Thorpe-Tinley, and the hamlet of Martin, 1183 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £12. 2. 11., endowed with £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of SirT. Whichcote, Bart. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
