TREWEN, a parish in the northern division of the hundred of EAST, county of CORNWALL, 5 miles (W, by S.) from Launceston, containing 206 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, annexed to the vicarage of South Petherwin, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Bishop of Exeter. The church is dedicated-,to St. Michael. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. Fairs for colts, sheep, and lambs, are held on May 1st and October 10th.
