of COLNEIS, county of SUFFOLK, 8 miles (S. E. by E.)
from Ipswich, containing 379 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£16.13. 4., and in the patronage of the Crown. The
navigable river Orwell bounds the parish on the
south.
