TROTTERSCLIFFE, or TROSLEY, a parish in the hundred of LARKFIELD, lathe of AYLESFORD, county of KENT, 2 miles (N.E. by E.) from Wrotham, containing 243 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Rochester, rated in the king's-books at £10. 2. 11., and in the patronage of the Bishop of Rochester. The church is dedicated to St. Peter' and St. Paul. The Rev. Paul Bariston, in 1711, bequeathed land, producing upwards of £9 a year, for teaching poor children.
