TUDY (ST.), a parish in the hundred of TRIGG, county of CORNWALL, 6 miles (N.) from Bodmin, containing 606 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, Tri the archdeaconry of Cornwall, and diocese of Exeter, rated in the king's books at £ 31, and in the patronage of the Dean and Canons of Christ Church, Oxford. There is a place of worship for Wesleyari Methodists. Fairs for sheep and cattle are held on May 20th and September 14th. At Tinten and Kelly Green, in this parish, are the remains of two ancient chapels.
