TUNSTALL, a parish in the hundred of PLOMESGATE, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles (E. by S.) from Wickham-Market, containing 653 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage, with the rectory of punningworth annexed, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £21. 0. 5., and endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £ 200 royal bounty. The Rev. C. Jefferson was patron in 1814. The church is dedicated to St. Michael. There is a place of worship for Baptists.
