The living is a discharged rectory in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Dean of Salisbury rated in the king's books at.£7.13. 4., endowed with,£200, private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in "the patronage of J. Frampton, Esq. The church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, was partly blown down in 1758, and rebuilt in 1759. The river Piddle runs through the parish.
