TWYFORD, a parish in the hundred of BUCKINGHAM, and county
of BUCKINGHAM, 5 miles (S. W. by S.) from Buckingham,
containing, with the hamlets of Charndon and
Pounden, 623 inhabitants. The living is a rectory not
in charge, annexed to the Rectorship of Lincoln College,
Oxford, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese
of Lincoln. The church is dedicated to St. Mary.
