WALLBOTTLE, a township in that part of the parish
of NEWBURN which is in the western division of
CASTLE ward, county of NORTHUMBERLAND, 4 miles
(W. by N.) from Newcastle upon Tyne, containing 676
inhabitants, many of whom are employed in an extensive
colliery at this place.
