WALSHAM-le-WILLOWS, a parish in the hundred of BLACKBOURN, county of SUFFOLK, 4 miles {B. by N.) from Ixworth, containing 1081 inhabitants. The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry of Suffolk, and diocese of Norwich, endowed with £16 per; annum private benefaction, £400 royal bounty, and £ 1400 parliamentary grant. John Sparke, Esq. was patron in 1813. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. There are places of worship for Baptists andWesleyan Methodists. A small sum, bequeathed by William Withers, in 1632, is applied for teaching poor children.
