WALSINGHAM (GREAT), a parish in the northern division of the hundred of GREENHOE, county of NORFOLK, 1 mile (N. by E.) from Little Walsingham, comprising the united parishes of All Saints and St. Peter, and containing 413 inhabitants. The living is a donative, in the patronage of H. Lee Warner, Esq. The church is remarkable for the fine proportions of its architecture, which is in the English style. This place, also called Old Walsingham, was formerly of considerable importance, having contained three churches.
