WALTON, a parish in the hundred of WHITLEY,
county of SOMERSET, 3 miles (S. W. by W.) from
Glastonbury, containing 635 inhabitants. The living is
a perpetual curacy; annexed to the rectory of Street,
in the archdeaconry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and
Wells. The church, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, has
a tower rising from the centre. There is a place of
worship for Wesleyan Methodists.
