WARDEN-LAW, a township in the parish of HOUGHTON-le-SPRING, northern division of EASINGTON ward; county palatine of DURHAM, 8 miles (N. E.) from Durham, containing 14 inhabitants. It comprises a lofty eminence, crossed by a railway, having a steamengine on its summit, for drawing up and letting down coal-wagons employed in conveying coal from the Heaton pits.
