WATTISFIELD, a parish in the hundred of BLACKBOURN,
county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (W. S. W.) from
Botesdale, containing 506 inhabitants. The living is
a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of Sudbury,
and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at
£8. 11. 8. The Rev. R. Morgan was patron in 1808.
The church is dedicated to St. Margaret.  There is a
place of worship for Independents.
