WEDDINGTON, a parish in the Atherstone
division of the hundred of HEMLINGFORD, county of
WARWICK, 1 mile (N.) from Nuneaton, containing 91
inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry
of Coventry, and diocese of Lichfield and Coventry,
rated in the king's books at £8. 10. 7., and in the
patronage of C. B. Adderley, Esq. The church is dedicated
to St. James. The Coventry canal passes through
the parish.
