WEEKLEY, a parish in the hundred of CORBY,
county of NORTHAMPTON, 2 miles (N. BbyN.) from
Kettering, containing 255 inhabitants. The living is a
discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of Northampton,
and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's
books at £9. 0. 5., and in the patronage of the Duke
of Buccleuch. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, contains
a monument to the memory of Lord Chief Justice
Montague. Near the south side of it is an hospital for
seven poor men.
