of IPSWICH, and partly in the hundred of BOSMERE-and-CLAYDON,
county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles
(N.N.E.) from Ipswich, containing 289 inhabitants. Thd
living is. a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of
Suffolk, and . diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's
books at £11. 10. 7., and in the patronage of the
Bishop of Ely. The church is dedicated to St. Mary
Magdalene; Bridget Collett, in 1662, bequeathed land
producing about £5 per annum, in support of a school.
