WESTLEY, a parish in the hundred of THINGOE,
county of SUFFOLK, 2 miles (W.) from Bury-St. Ed-
munds, containing 124 inhabitants. The living is a
rectory, annexed to that of Fornham All Saints, in the
archdeaconry of Sudbury, and diocese of Norwich,
rated in the king's books at £9. 15. 5. The church,
dedicated to St. Thomas k Becket, is a small edifice
of mean appearance, covered with lead j the tower fell
down in 1744.
