WESTON-ZOYLAND, a parish in the hundred of WHITLEY, county of SOMERSET, 4 miles (E. S. E.) from Bridg-water, containing, with a portion of Boroughbridge, which is in the hundred of ANDERSFIELD, 807 inhabitants. The living is a vicarage, in the archdea- conry of Wells, and diocese of Bath and Wells, rated in the king's books at £14. 6. 8., endowed with £200 private benefaction, and £200 royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Bath and Wells. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, is a cruciform structure, with a stately western tower, highly enriched, and crowned with pinnacles. The parish is bounded on the south by the navigable river Parret.
