WEXHAM, a parish in the hundred of STOKE, county of BUCKINGHAM, 1 mile (N. E.) from Slough, containing 154 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £5. 15., and in the patronage of the Crown, The church is dedicated to St. Mary. Rag-stone abounds in the neighbourhood. The learned- Fleetwood, before his elevation to episcopal dignity, was rector of this parish from 1705 to 1708, during which period he published his Chronicon Pretiosum.
