WHINFELL, a township in that part of the parish
of KENDAL which is in KENDAL ward, county of
WESTMORLAND, 6 miles (N. E. by N.) from Kendal,
containing 204 inhabitants. The school-room was rebuilt
by the late Mr. Shepherd, but there is no endowment.
