WICKHAMBREUX, a parish in the hundred of DOWNHAMFORD, lathe of ST-AUGUSTINE, county of KENT, 5 miles (E. by N.) from Canterbury, containing 469 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Canterbury, rated in the king's books at £29. 12. 6., and in the patronage of G.W. H. D'Aeth, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Andrew. The Rev. John Smith, B.D., in 1656, gave a house and school-room in trust to the minister and parish officers, for the education of children.
