WIGHTON, a parish in the northern division of
the hundred of GREENHOE, county of NORFOLK, 2
miles (N. by E.) from Little Walsingham, containing
507 inhabitants. The living is a discharged vicarage,
in the archdeaconry and diocese of Norwich, rated in
the king's books at £11. 11. 8., endowed with £400
royal bounty, and in the patronage of the Dean and Chapter
of Norwich. The church is dedicated to All Saints.
