WILBY, a parish in the hundred of HAMFORDSHOE, county of NORTHAMPTON, 2 miles (S.W. by W.) from Wellingborough, containing 347 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Northampton, and diocese of Peterborough, rated in the king's books at £13. 19. 4., and in the patronage of Mat. Easton, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Mary, is partly in the early, and partly in the decorated, style of English architecture, with a beautiful spire steeple of later date.
