WINCHENDON (NETHER), a parish in the hundred
of ASHENDON, county of BUCKINGHAM, 7 miles
(W. by S.) from Aylesbury, containing 284 inhabitants.
The living is a perpetual curacy, in the archdeaconry
of Buckingham, and diocese of Lincoln, endowed with
£400 private benefaction, and A1000 royal bounty,
and in the patronage of Sir W. B. Cave, Bart. The
church is dedicated to St. Nicholas.
