WINCHFIELD, a parish in the hundred of ODIHAM,
Basingstoke division of the county of SOUTHAMPTON,
2 miles (N. E.) from Odiham, containing 226 inhabitants.
The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry
and diocese of Winchester, rated in the king's books
at £8. 16. lOf., and in the patronage of the Rev. H. E.
St. John. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The
Basingstoke canal runs through the parish.
