WINFARTHING, a parish in the hundred of Diss,
county of NORFOLK, 4 miles (N. by W.) from Diss,
containing 683 inhabitants. The living is a discharged
rectory, in the. archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of
Norwich, rated in the king's books at £12, and in the
patronage of the Earl of Albemarle. The church is
dedicated to St. Mary.
