WITHAM (NORTH), a parish in the wapentake
of BELTISLOE, parts of KESTEVEN, county of LINCOLN,
1 mile (S. by W.) from Colsterworth, containing, with
the hamlet of Lebthorpe, 209 inhabitants. The-living
is a rectory, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Lincoln,
rated in the king's books at £6. 19. 2., and in
the patronage of Lord Downe. The church is dedicated
to St. Mary. The river Witham runs through the
parish.
