WOOLSTONE (GREAT), a parish in the hundred
of NEWPORT, county of BUCKINGHAM, 3 miles (N.)
from Fenny-Stratford, containing 108 inhabitants. The
living is a discharged rectory, in the archdeaconry of
Buckingham, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's
books at £8. 16. 1., endowed with £200 private benefaction,
and £200 royal bounty. J. C. Nield, Esq. was
patron in 1816. The church is dedicated to the Holy
Trinity.
