WOOLTON  (LITTLE), a township in the parish
of CHILDWALL, hundred of WEST-DERBY, county palatine
of LANCASTER, 4 miles (S. w. by S.) from Prescot,
containing 673 inhabitants. A trifling sum, bequeathed
by the Rev. Thomas Comptqn, is applied for teaching
poor children.
