WOOLVERTON, a parish in the hundred of NEWPORT,
county of BUCKINGHAM, 1 mile (E.N.B.) from
Stony-Stratford, containing 335 inhabitants. The living
is a discharged vicarage, in the archdeaconry of
Buckingham, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's
books at £10. 3. 9., endowed with £400 private benefaction,
and £400 royal bounty, and in the patronage
of W. Drake, Esq. and others. The church is dedicated
to the Holy Trinity.
