WRETHAM (EAST), a parish in the hundred of SHROPHAM, county of NORFOLK, 5 miles (N.E. byN.) from Thetford, containing, with the parish of West Wretham, 342 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, with that of West Wretham annexed, in the archdeaconry of Norfolk, and diocese of Norwich, rated in the king's books at £11. 12. 3., and in the patronage of Wyrley Birch, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Ethelbert.
