WYMINGTON, a parish in the hundred of WILLEY, county of BEDFORD, 6 miles (N.) from Harrold, containing 262 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Bedford, and diocese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £10, and in the patronage of- Lee, Esq. The church, dedicated to St. Lawrence, is a handsome structure in the later style of English architecture, said to have been built some time in the fourteenth century, by John Curteys, then lord of the manor, and mayor of the staple at Calais.
