INNISFARNARD, an island, in the parish of KILCATERN,
barony of BERE, county of CORK, and province
of MUNSTER, 7 miles (N.) from Castletown, Cuolagh
bay; containing 24 inhabitants. It comprises 34
acres of poor land, and has a small quay and good
landing-place: ships may anehor in 16 or 18 fathoms
of water about 2½ cables' length from the shore.
