AUCHINCRAW, a village, in the parish of ColdiNGHAM,
county of Berwick, 2 miles (N. W.) from
Ayton; containing 203 inhabitants. It is situated at
the boundary of the parish; and upon the height called
Warlaw, to the west, is a camp of oval form covering an
area of five or six acres of very poor moorland, but respecting
which both history and tradition are silent. In
the village is a school connected with the Synod of
United Original Seceders.
