CLIFTON, a village, in the late quoad sacra parish
of Strathfillan, parish of Killin, county of Perth;
containing 159 inhabitants. It stands in the northwestern
portion of the parish, near Tyndrum, and is a
small place, formerly occupied by miners employed in
working a lead-mine in the vicinity.
