CROSSLEE, a village, in the parish of Houston, Upper ward of the county of Renfrew, i a mile (S. by E.) from Houston; containing * 1 1 inhabitants. This village lies in the southernmost extremity of the parish, and on the banks of the Gryfe water, which is here very devious in its course. It is a seat of the cotton manufacture, and there is au extensive mill, which employs a great part of the population. In the vicinity is Crosslee House. A school has been established for the use of the work-people and their children.
