INCH-CRUIN, an isle, in the parish of Buchanan,
county of Stirling. This isle, the name of which signifies
"the Round Island", is situated in Loch Lomond,
and is about three-quarters of a mile in length, affording
some good arable and pasture ground. There was formerly
a retreat here for insane persons.
