LEITHOLM, a village, in the parish of Eccles,
county of Berwick, 5 miles (N. W.) from Coldstream;
containing 365 inhabitants. It lies in the eastern extremity
of the parish, near the Leet water, the boundary
on that side; and is on the high road from Kelso to Berwick.
This is the largest village in the parish, and has
a by-post to Coldstream.
