SALTBURN, a village, in the parish of Rosskeen,
county of Ross and Cromarty; containing 329 inhabitants.
The population is chiefly agricultural. A Gaelic
school was established here in 1823 by the Edinburgh
Gaelic Society, by whom it is wholly maintained; the
master has a salary of £20, but no fees are charged.
