SPRING-GARDEN, a quoad sacra district (for a time), in the parish of West of the city of Aberdeen, county of Aberdeen; containing 1887 inhabitants. This was wholly a town district, and was separated from the parish of West Kirk, under an act of the General Assembly in 1834, and annexed to a Gaelic church. The stipend of the minister amounted to £140 arising from seat-rents and collections, and £10 from the Society for Propagating Christian Knowledge. The church, built in 1795, by subscription and loan, contains 700 sittings.
