WHINNIE-FAULD, a village, in the parish of
Cruden, district of Ellon, county of Aberdeen,
2 miles (S. by E.) from the parish church; containing
107 inhabitants. This place, also called Finnyfold, is
one of several small fishing-villages on the coast, within
the parish. The fish taken here are the white-fish common
in this quarter.
