BERWYN, a township, joint with Croes, in the parish of TRiGARON, upper division of the hundred of PENARTH, county of CARDIGAN, SOUTH WALES, 3 miles (E. by N.) from Tregaron. The population is returned with Croes. In this wild and mountainous district is the small lake L19-n Berwyn, from which issues a stream, called the Berwyn, which, after joining the Croes, falls into the Teivy, a little below the town of Tregaron.
