FOREST, a hamlet, in that part of the parish of LLANDINGAT which is in the higher division of the hundred of PERVETH, county of CARMARTHEN, SOUTH WALES, 3 miles (N.) from Llandovery, containing '206 inhabitants, who are exclusively employed in agriculture. It is situated on the left bank of the Towy, and occupies a part of the district lying between that river and the Bran. A bridge crosses the Towy here, and the road from Llandovery to Tregaron passes along its left bank. This hamlet is in general well wooded.
